Using IOTN and a Simple Flowchart to Establish If a Patient Qualifies For NHS Orthodontic Treatment

Course Details

• This course aims to teach dentists how to use a simple flowchart that will enable them to establish whether or not someone would qualify for NHS treatment prior to referral.
• This module includes a short video presentation followed by an assessment.
• If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident to do so. 

Aims

This course aims to teach dentists how to use a simple flowchart that will enable them to establish whether or not a patient would qualify for NHS treatment prior to referral.

Objectives

  Learners will be able to:

• Use a flowchart to establish if their patient should qualify for NHS treatment.
• Score aesthetic component within one grade of the gold standard in 75% of cases they assess.
• Determine which Dental Health Component Grade 3 cases would qualify for NHS treatment in 75% of such cases.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:
