Objectives
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Define dental caries and be aware of its history and incidence
- List sites where caries occurs
- Explain the development of caries
- Give simple advice to patients on preventing caries
- Conduct simple experiments to demonstrate how an acid attack occurs
- Describe studies linking caries and the consumption of fermentable carbohydrate
