By the end of this module you will be able to:

• To understand dental caries and restorations on a radiographic image
• Be able to explain the periapical tissues on a radiograph
• Explain the periodontal tissues and periodontal disease on a radiographic image
• Understand diseases and abnormalities effecting the jaws

Learning Outcomes

The Certificate in Dental Radiography course is formulated to give dental nurses the qualification to enable them to act under prescription as an IR(ME)R operator, in order to safely take intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs of patients.
