Course Details
- This course will revise with the learner, the principles of pulp diagnosis and health.
- You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
- If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.
Aims
This course aims to discuss with learners the principles of pulp diagnosis and health. Addtionally, in the the absence of pulp health due to dental disease or trauma, the advancements in pulp biology knowledge which has seen the birth of regenerative endodontics shall be discussed.
Objectives
Learners will be able to:
- Understand the principles of pulp preservation.
- Discuss current bioceramic materials available to the restorative dentist.
- Illustrate contemporary techniques employed to treat necrotic 'open apex' cases.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:
- How advancements in the knowledge of pulp biology have seen the birth of regenerative endodontics, which can be employed in general practice.
