Course Details

• This course takes an in-depth look at the signs and symptoms of oral cancer, the screening process, and patient education protocols.
• You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

This course aims to provide an in-depth look at the signs and symptoms of oral cancer, associated risk factors, and the importance of early detection. How to perfom a visual cancer screening examination is covered in detail. The correct use of adjuncts and screening techniques, and referral strategy for specialist opinion are also covered. The importance and approaches to patient education are also discussed.
