Course Details

• The aim of this course is to understand how to manage obstructed airways and conduct good patient care both before and after the episode. 
• You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download. 
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

The aim of this course is to learn how to perform emergency medical care for people who are choking.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

• Recognize the sign and symptoms of obstructed airways in patients attending for dental treatment.
• Provide emergency medical care for people who are choking. 

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:

• The signs and symptoms of a person with an obstructed airway.
• How to manage a person with an obstructed airway.
