Course Details

• This course aims to help learners understand why the water quality of dental unit waterlines (DUWLs) is important.
• The course will out outline the key points of the relevant water quality legislation. 
• You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

This course aims to provide insight into why water quality is so important and outline the relevant legislation.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

• Outline the relevant drinking water standards with reference to DUWLs.
• Discuss the processes by which DUWLs can become contaminated by microbes.
• Explain the methods of maintaining water quality.
• Discuss the variety of microbes that can be found in DUWLs.
