Course Details

• This course will help learners understand the importance of correctly disinfecting dental impressions to minimise cross-contamination. 
• You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download. 
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

The aim of this course is to help learners understand the importance of correctly disinfecting dental impressions to minimize cross-contamination.

• Understand what is meant by the term impression and how they are created.
• Explain the different methods of disinfection.
• Outline the stages of disinfection.
• Understand why an impression requires disinfection.
