Course Details

• This course will teach learners how to perform hand hygiene and comply with the associated legislation.
• You will be presented with a short video followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download. 
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

This course will teach learners how to perform hand hygiene and comply with the associated legislation.

Objectives

During this module learners will be able to:

• Describe the stages involved in a clinical hand wash.
• Describe the stages involved when using a hand rub.
• Explain nail care requirements.
• Explain the cirumstances in which hand hygiene is need.

On completion of this module the learner will gain an understanding of:

• Clinical hand washing.
• Different types of hand hygiene.
• When hand hygiene should be performed.
