- This course explores the types of waterborne microbes within a dental surgery environment.
- You will be presented with a short video followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
- Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
- If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.
Aims
This course aims to cover the types of waterborne microbes which may be present in the dental surgery and the areas that they may thrive in.
Objectives
During this course learners will be able to:
- Define what assets can create a risk of waterborne contamination.
- Put simple measures in place to mitigate the risk of pathogen growth.
- Recognize which patient and/or staff members may be at increased risk of infection.
- Minimize the risk of exposure to vulnerable users.
