  • You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
  • If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of autotransplantation, an under-utilised technique in which a tooth is surgically repositioned within the same patient.

Objectives

  • Outline the considerations and principles of when to utilise autotransplantation.
  • Explain the surgical protocols for autotransplantation.
  • Outline how to recognise these cases, for referral or treatment.

  • The relevance of autotransplantation in orthodontics; the protocol for surigcal techniques to provide the best success and survival rates and the appropriate referral and timing of these cases.
