An Introduction to Intraoral Scanning

Course Details

• This course provides an overview of intraoral scanners, including adoption rates, and successful use. 
• You will be presented with a lecture followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download. 
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

This course aims to provide an overview of the indications and accuracy of intraoral scanners and highlights the clinical and financial benefits of intraoral scanners within dentistry. 

Objectives

During this module learners will be able to understand:

• The indications of an intraoral scanner.
• The benefits and limitations of intraoral scanners.
• The technique and workflow when intraoral scanners are used in implant dentistry.

On completion of this module the learner will gain and understanding of:

• The purpose of intraoral scanners and their use in dentistry.
• The clinical and financial benefits of the use of intraoral scanners in a digital workflow.
