Course Details

• This course takes an insight of the role of dental nurses in taking alginate impressions as part of their extended duties. It covers essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional responsibilities to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment. 

Aims

The aim of the course is to equip dental nurses with the knowledge, skills, and professional understanding required to take alginate impressions safely and competently within their extended duties, while maintaining patient care standards and adhering to regulatory guidance.
