- This course aims to help learners understand the requirements of transporting instruments safely throughout the dental practice and externally.
- You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
- Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
- If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.
Aims
This course aims to help learners understand the importance of transporting instruments, outlining the relevant legislation which helps to protect staff and patients.
Objectives
During this course learners will:
- Be able to identify the five attributes of a compliant transportation box as outlined in legislation.
- Know how to safely transport instruments.
- Understand the advantages of pre-soaking agents.
- Know what is required when transporting instruments off the premises.
- Be able to reduce the recontamination risk when transporting sterilised instruments.
