Course Details
- This course explains the purpose and importance of keeping an accurate Personal Development Plan (PDP) that meets the requirements set by the General Dental Council (GDC).
- You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
- If you achieve a score of 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident to do so.
Aims
This course aims to provide learners with a knowledge and understanding of the purpose and principles of maintaining an accurate Personal Development Plan (PDP) that meets GDC requirements. It also explores how a well-structured PDP can support registrants during a fitness to practise process.
Objectives
By engaging with this course, learners will be able to:
- Critically evaluate the current CPD system
- Analyse the requirements of the General Dental Council and the impact of non-compliance.
- Identify appropriate CPD and know the questions to ask when it comes to quality assurance.
- Understand what it means to be sampled.
- Discuss how a well-structured and appropriate PDP can support registrants in a fitness to practice process.
