Aims
To enhance Dental Hygienists’ and Therapists’ (DHTs) understanding of the "Delivering Better Oral Health" (DBOH) guidelines, focusing on evidence-based prevention and strategies to support improved oral and general health outcomes for patients.
Objectives
- To understand the evidence-based prevention recommendations outlined in the "Delivering Better Oral Health" guidelines.
- To equip DHTs with the knowledge to deliver tailored oral health advice and interventions that promote long-term improvements in oral health.
- To understand the role of fluoride, dietary advice, and oral hygiene instruction in preventing dental disease.
- To support patients in making positive lifestyle changes that benefit their oral and general health.
Learning Outcomes
This presentation is designed to enable DHTs to confidently apply the "Delivering Better Oral Health" guidelines to their clinical practice, improving patients’ oral health through effective prevention, education, and support.
