Course Details

• This course takes an in-depth look at the benefits of rubber dam use in endodontics and restorative dentistry and techniques to achieve good isolation.
• You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
• If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of the benefits of rubber dam use in endodontics and restorative dentistry, and techniques to achieve good isolation.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

• Understand the place for rubber dam in every day dental practice and recognise it should not be reserved for specialist practice.
• Understand the tools and the process to place rubber dam.
• Explain quick and easy techniques for the placement of rubber dam.
• Identify the role of the dental nurse in the quick delivery and placement of rubber dam.
