- Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.

Aims
The aim of this course is to equip the learner with knowledge of infection control enable clinical leadership within the practice.
Objectives
Engaging in this course learners will be able to:
- Understand their role and responsibilities as an Infection Control Lead.
- Identify causes of infection and types of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores, prions).
- Recall correct PPE selection and usage.
- Know when and how to clean and disinfect surfaces, impressions, prostheses, and appliances.
- Recognise the importance of maintaining high hygiene standards and infection prevention in clinical settings.
- Differentiate between essential quality requirements and best practice.
- Demonstrate a full decontamination process.
- List recommended vaccinations for healthcare workers.
- Follow correct procedures for spillages and waste segregation.
- Create and maintain validation records and infection control policies.
- Understand audit requirements, record-keeping, and CQC inspection expectations.
