Course Details

• This course covers how to support implant patients through their treatment journey using a team approach. The current evidence and guidance for long-term monitoring and what can be used for patient and professional biofilm disruption is discussed.
• You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
• If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of how to support implant patients through their treatment journey using a team approach. The current evidence and guidance for long-term monitoring and what can be used for patient and professional biofilm disruption will be discussed.

• Understand the importance of practice protocols, long-term monitoring and supportive therapy.
• Understand why it is paramount that patients are prepared before commencing on their implant journey.
• Understand why a team approach with implant patients should be encouraged.
• Discuss options for both patient and professional biofilm disruption, especially around complex restorations.
