Course Details

• This course aims to provide learners with an understanding of dental handpieces and the importance of good care and maintenance.
• You will be presented with a short video followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

• Recognise the types of dental handpieces.
• Identify the different types of burs.
• Recall the correct cleaning stages for handpieces.
• Correctly sterilise handpieces.
• Correctly lubricate handpieces.
