Course Details

• This course takes an in-depth look at the issues relating to obtaining valid consent prior to provision of any treatment. 
• You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
• If you achieve a score of 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident to do so. 

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to obtaining valid consent prior to provision of any treatment. 

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

• Understand the meaning of valid consent.
• Understand the requirement of obtaining valid consent prior to treatment.
• Apply legal tests that the courts have applied when determining if valid consent was obtained or not.
