Course Details

  • The aim of this course is to understand what to do if a patient has asthma. 
  • You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
  • Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download. 
  • If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

The aim of this course is to understand what to do if a patient has an asthma attack in the practice.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of asthma in patients attending for dental treatment.
  • Respond immediately to a patient suffering from asthma.
  • Care for the patient.

  • How to manage patients suffering asthma.
  • Good patient care pre and post asthma attacks.
  • Practice protocols for dealing with patients with asthma.
