Course Details

• This course takes an in-depth look at clinical conditions that fall within the scope of oral medicine practice using a structured approach to guide on the initiation of care and to ensure that patients are being seen in the right place at the right time.
• You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.
• If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of clinical conditions that fall within the scope of oral medicine practice and why a structured approach can guide the initiation of care and ensure that patients are being seen in the right place at the right time.

• Elicit the patient's agenda and recognise what is important to them.
• Initiate care and evaluate the response to this.
• Recognise when you need to seek further advice and know how to do this in an appropriate way.
• Recognise what you need to do to professionally develop and consider how you might do this.
