Course Details
- This is a refresher course for dental nurses with extended duties. It covers the range of important considerations relating to patient care when providing treatment prescribed by a suitably qualified dental registrant.
- You will be presented with a coursebook followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
- Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
- If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.
Aims
The aim of the course is to outline practice procedures for referring patients for alginate impressions, and to consider the checks required before taking alginate impressions.

During this course learners will be able to:
- Ensure patients' interests come first with regards to alginate impressions.
- Review disinfection processes.
- Assess working processes and performance standards.
