Course Details
- This course provides an overview of the potential harmful effects of excessive alcohol consumption and how to educate and assist patients when necessary.
- You will be presented with a short video followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
- Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
- If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.
Aims
This course aims to update dental professionals about the link between alcohol consumption and oral health and the dental professionals role in educating and referring patients when necessary.
Objectives
During this course learners will be able to:
- Explain the potential effects alcohol has on oral health.
- Assess and advise a patient about safe alcohol guidance.
- Identify possible alcohol effects on oral tissues.
