Course Details

• This course takes an in-depth look at accessibility issues, reviews the legislation surrounding this topic, and highlights key areas which require assessment.  
• You will be presented with a short video followed by an assessment with options for feedback and reflection.
• Once you have achieved a mark of 80% or more, you will be presented with a certificate to download.
• If you do not pass you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment.

Aims

This course aims to help practice team members understand accessibility at their practice, their legal obligations, 'reasonable adjustments', and how to approach the required audit.

Objectives

Learners will be able to:

• Understand their legal obligations and CQC expectations.
• Outline 'reasonable adjustments'.
• Discuss listed buildings, accessible toilets, and opening a new practice.
• Explain access auditing.

On completion of this course the learner will gain an understanding of:

• Their legal duties with regards to accessibility.
• What the CQC expect from a dental practice in terms of accessibility. 
• What is meant by the term 'reasonable adjustments'. 
• How to improve the quality of disabled access audits.
